Who
takes my my child's senior picture for the yearbook?
-
Your
school probably has a contract with a company to provide (1) senior
yearbook picture
of you/your child. The school will normally hold an assembly in
your/your child's junior year regarding yearbook pictures and this company
is also allowed to present their senior picture services. Since
they are the only company presenting, your child might think they have to use
only that company for all of their pictures. Not True!
(The contract prohibits us from presenting our services to your
child.)
Does this company
take all of my/my child's senior pictures?
When Do I sign up for senior pictures?
Why should I consider
coming to Palmieri's?
-
With the yearbook company being responsible for so many potential
customers, they can't offer the same personalized and creative services
we
do. Their results are senior pictures where backgrounds are all the
same and only the faces change. They normally use a new
"prop" used to differentiate from the previous years'
pictures**. We don't believe this approach shows your child's true
personality which is why we offer a more creative and collaborative
experience for them and you.
Well, if I don't have to go
to their studio, where do I go?
-
The yearbook company
normally schedules a day at your school to photograph the kids that
couldn't make it to their studio. We suggest calling your school
and asking the date of this event. Then, your child dresses
accordingly for that day's picture. This is something that the
yearbook company doesn't advertise.
OK, so I have their picture taken at school instead. Then what?
-
Here's where you get the best of both
worlds!
-
Step #1 is to schedule with Palmieri's Photography
so you can have a fun, fresh, fashion inspired and memorable experience.
Our specialty is outdoor portraiture so think how much more
enjoyable it will be to be photographed in areas you love rather than
in a studio the entire time. And, our outdoor images will look better than anyone else's
because of the techniques and equipment we
use. Don't get us wrong, we can also photograph you in our
studio, too. It has been our experience most folks want to be outside, though!
-
Step #2 is to have your yearbook picture taken
during the school year on the day reserved by the yearbook company.
-
By taking this approach,
you'll still be in the yearbook and your creative senior senior pictures will
be much cooler rather than you looking like
everybody else who chooses the school's photographer. You'll
also appear in the yearbook, too.
What else do I need to
know??
-
Be prepared to
receive numerous mailings from this company beginning in the Spring
and continuing through the Autumn. You'll see comments in their
mailings that aren't entirely true, too**. The main falsehood
regards not appearing in the yearbook if you don't visit
their studio by a certain date to have your picture taken. It's a clever approach to get you to their studio.
They do this because they know once you've completed a
senior photo session, you're not going to go somewhere
else because
you've already invested the time (even if you discover a better
company like ours). Not sure how they get away with such a
blatant "untruth" but they do!**
So, in a nutshell, why
I choose Palmieri's Photography
for my senior pictures?
-
Because you'll have more fun, our pictures will be better and you'll save
money by coming here vs. your school's yearbook photographer. It's your choice how to spend your money and we know
you'll receive the most from Palmieri's than any other area studio.
-
We hear from new customers every year that they wished they had to come to us
with their first child. But it's always the same 2 reasons they
didn't: "We didn't know we could" and "They made
it sound like we had to go to them." Be careful not to fall
for the marketing "misconceptions".
-
Lastly, we pride
ourselves on making sure you have fun and that your pictures look
better than your friends who opted for the yearbook
photographer. We purposely plan and collaborate with you so that
your pics aren't the same as your friends. Call it a
"professional goal" but we want people who see your senior
pictures to say, "wow, you belong in a magazine!" They
won't say that if you choose your yearbook photographer.
So, if we sound like the company for you,
call and we'll answer any questions you have! The studio number is 440-933-4000 or you can
email
us. We truly feel we are your best choice for senior
pictures as do the hundreds of seniors and parents that have chosen
us. As a small, local business, we genuinely appreciate your support!
